This medical-based client is seeking a Ceramic Material Scientist to join their growing business.

This well-established business is seeking an individual who has a PhD in materials science who can support the product manufacturing aspect of the business.

Thisinteresting role will be working collaboratively with the team.


Job Description:


  • Understanding and contributing scientific knowledge to product manufacturing
  • Writing and maintaining material specifications for the production process
  • Collaborative working with quality and production to drive processes and maintain standards
  • Support quality test sampling of materials from the production processes
  • Understand manufacturing processes
  • Characterising materials to create specifications
  • Source of product knowledge
  • Disseminate product information through internal training and as a point of contact
  • Product support for existing products and new product development
  • Characterization of materials and devices in the laboratory
  • PhD in materials science or equivalent
  • Specialism in crystalline ceramics
  • Understanding of polymer chemistry
  • Strong science communication and writing skills
  • Able to design and execute targeted wet lab research
  • Ability to pivot and use initiative to adapt and learn new skills as needed

Hours:
Between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (35 hrs)


Salary:
Negotiable
