Description

Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Operative to join our company and work in the Moulding department based at our Neale Road site in DN2.

Role:
This role is to ensure that the manufactured product meets the required quality standard.

Responsibilities:

Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full.
Ensure quality standards are achieved at all times by checking the product for defects
Ensure product once inspected is placed into packaging with relevant labels a lift taken on the Polybutylene and displayed for gauging
Ensure all relevant data is captured / collected and entered onto appropriate systems (BARCO, PRODUCTION & IFS9)
When product is booked onto system and the relevant forms / labels issued the product can be moved to W.I.P./ finished goods yard
Continuous improvement ideas put forward for implementation
Ensure a clean and safe working area for yourself and others
Ensure all waste products are separated into their designated containers
Ensure all scrap products / sprues are reground in accordance to the SSW and making sure that no cross contamination occurs. Material then to be passed onto Hopper operative

Requirements:

Ensure product selected for packing is the correct visual quality as in the Quality Handbook
Packing will only commence once first off approval has been given by Inspection and all products prior to that are to be scrapped and recorded on relevant systems
Select and print descriptive labels and attach to appropriate product / stillage
Transfer of data onto relevant systems (IFS9 and check sheets)
The data to be recorded is production booking and scrap.
When product is packaged and to the correct quality it can be booked into the system; product then can be moved by truck to the W.I.P./ finished goods yard ready to go to the Warehouse
Knowledge of minimum H&S and Environmental as required by Polypipe Building Products Ltd
