We're looking for a Principal Communications Officer to join our award-winning communications team, working at the heart of Norfolk County Council.

We're searching for someone creative, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a real skill for strategic communications.

You will be working with our Adult Social Care and team on projects that support people to live longer, healthier, happier lives, with a focus on supporting independence and resilience.

Norfolk has an aging population, with increasingly complex needs. Demand continues to grow on Adult Social Care and there are ongoing financial pressures and recruitment challenges.

This comes as councils prepare for inspection by the Care Quality Commission - the first inspection of its kind for ten years.

We need an experienced strategic communicator, with excellent experience in proactive and reactive media and reputational work, as well as skill in engagement and co-production.

This is a hybrid post, with at least two days based in the office.

We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.

Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
