The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is seeking to appoint a practice-based learning link officer with Nursing / Midwifery experience to join an existing team of staff delivering nursing, midwifery and allied health programmes.

The post focuses on supporting the practice supervisors/assessors who deliver the practice components of the pre-registration programmes.

This practice is delivered in a range of practice environments and applicants with experience of NHS and/or non-NHS care delivery environments, and with a range of specialisms, are invited.

Post holders will provide practical guidance and support to students and placement staff, liaise with University assist Heads of Subject and the Head of Placement Learning in maintaining the quality of existing placements, and in expanding the range of practice placements used.

The postholder will become skilled in the administration of the electronic practice assessment document, engage in audit and quality/governance processes, and be required to work across healthcare provider organisations in Wales.


Post holders must have:
- post-registration nursing and/or Midwifery experience of facilitating the learning and assessment of students across a range of healthcare settings

  • Active registration with the NMC
  • Willingness to to travel and work flexibly throughout Wales.


The post will have a base at the Glyntaff Site but will be required to work from premises situated with healthcare providers across Wales.
