Responsibilities:
Project Evaluation:
Assess project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for architectural and secondary steelwork projects.
Cost Analysis:
Conduct thorough cost analyses, considering materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
Collaboration:
Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to gather essential information and ensure accurate project estimation.
Bid Preparation:
Prepare comprehensive and compelling bid proposals, clearly articulating cost breakdowns, timelines, and value propositions.
Market Research:
Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to inform pricing strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and uncertainties in projects and collaborate with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in architectural and secondary steelwork projects.
- Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
