Hydraulic Modeller within the Water Sector

Their busy and growing team in Durham are currently seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to support on current and upcoming projects.

This role is a key part of the water team and you will be working on exciting and diverse projects throughout the north east and work will likely including the following:

Support on hydraulic modelling studies using Infoworks ICM/InfoNet, Sewerage Management Planning, Network Modelling as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis / asset management

Interest in of pluvial, fluvial and coastal hydraulic modelling with a view to developing further

GIS software (ArcGIS, MapInfo or similar)

Searching for and organising data and information;
Data analysis, visualisation and programming (SQL, FME, Python)

Feasibility studies/options development:

Asset Performance Assessments/Reviews, Report preparation/drawings, scheduling of work for sub-contractors and third-party survey teams, and liaison during the projects.

Provide technical capability on wastewater projects as part of a project team

Assist the Project Manager in the management/co-ordination of projects

Attend and contribute to project meetings

Contributing to technical reports and presentations;
Supporting the development of proposals for new projects.

Relevant degree-level qualification (eg: Geography, Maths, Information Technology)

Keen interest in hydraulic modelling

Innovative thinker

Effective communicator - able to put your ideas across in a logical and coherent fashion in both oral presentations and written reports

Any professional experience using hydraulic modelling packages (eg: InfoWorks CS / ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller) and GIS software (eg: MapInfo or ArcGIS) would be advantageous
