As a Barclays Associate Director, you will be assisting Public Sector Relationship Directors (RDs) with client relationships, transactions and leading the delivery of products and services to these clients.

The Public Sector Team is one of four segments of UK Corporate Banking Coverage. The team comprises bankers who cover Education, Social Housing, Local and Central Government and charities. The team is based in six hubs across the UK.

What will you be doing?

Helping Heads of Industry with sector outlook and initiatives (including industry and solutions insights) and 'scanning the horizon' on what is relevant in the future
Developing and owning pitch material and client collateral
Developing product and proposition, running sector calls
Managing the endtoend deal support including in conjunction with Debt Finance pricing, deal management and credit writing
Completing and keeping current Client Account Plans for the largest clients where the most opportunities for growth exist
Managing, monitoring and controlling nominated client relationships

What we're looking for:

General banking skills including the ability to discuss strategic financial advice
Developed business awareness, to include impact of general economic change on a corporate's business
Credit risk understanding with Product Knowledge

Skills that will help you in the role:

Excellent Inter-personal skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
Good grasp of IT skills including word, excel, access, power point
Being customer service focused and attention to detail

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
