1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant - Greenwich


Tempest Education are seeking to appoint a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly Primary School in Greenwich to work in their nursery class.


1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant - The Primary School:

As a teaching assistant you must have the ability to work as an effective team member, be well organised and have the ability to communicate with children and adults in a constructive and effective way.

The Greenwich based primary school is rated an 'Outstanding'on the Ofsted and has fantastic transport links and onsite parking.


As a teaching assistant your main responsibility will include working 1:1 with a child that has been diagnosed with mild ASD in the nursery class.

The child is friendly and very well behaved; however, she lacks confidence and needs a supportive SEN TeachingAssistant to guide her with her work and build her confidence.

This child responds extremely well to someone with a nurturing manor.


The successful 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant must have:

  • Experience with Special Educational Needs
  • Experience of working with or caring for children
  • Strong behavioural management skills (preferred)
  • Be committed to promoting high standards in learning
  • A clear DBS

Main Responsibilities of a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis
  • Working alongside the Class Teacher
  • Supporting small groups of children
  • Helping to support children with SEN
  • Be enthusiastic and motivated

1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant - Additional information:

  • Monday
  • Friday
  • 8:30am4:00pm
- £85-£90 per day

  • Long term / permanent contract
  • Primary School in Greenwich
  • Working in the Nursery class
