Royalties Finance Assistant | International Music Publishing Business | London


Harmonic are delighted to be working with a world-renowned independent music production company with their search for a Finance Assistant to join their sociable, collaborative finance team.

The business has worked with countless high-profile clients withinthe music & theatre industry, with offices across America and Europe, building a reputation as a worldwide leader in the music publishing space.


The Role:


Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, the role is pivotal in the finance function, where you will be responsible for royalty accounts payable, client statement generation, reconciliation of royalty statements to sub-systems and ensuring paymentsare made in line with contract.

You will be working closely with senior members, meaning this role provides opportunities for personal growth, development, and scope to progress to Finance & Accounting Manager within 12-24 months.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ownership of the Royalty Accounts Payable function of UK publishing companies
  • Royalty statement reconciliation
  • Royalty client VAT / WHT
  • Payment run preparation
  • Management of royalty statements visible in the online statement portal
  • Ad hoc duties within the UK Finance function
  • Attend regular meetings with other departments

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • 1-2 years' experience of Accounts Payable role or similar
  • Royalties experience
  • Ambitious professional keen to study towards an accountancy qualification
  • Enthusiastic and excited about working in a fastpaced, creative environment
  • Strong communication skills and team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Media / Music / Creative experience
  • Experience using NetSuite
  • Experience using ERP systems

Salary:
£28,000 - £32,000
