I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for someone to work within the Complaints Team.

The Complaints Team is a very busy business area within the Benefits & Housing Needs Service that deals with all forms of casework such as; formal stage 1 complaints, members enquiries, mayor enquiries, MP enquiries and Freedom of Information requests.


This is a 36 hours per week hybrid role you will be expected to work from the office up to 3 days each week.

You will work as part of a team to triage new / existing casework assigned to the Benefits & Housing Needs Service.

You will be expected to examine all casework to determine whether the case has been correctly signposted to our service for a formal response.


Throughout this process, You will be responsible for ensuring the service maintains an accurate audit trail of all queries handled by this service.

You will be expected to work closely with all case handlers across the service providing advice and technical support on the use of our business system where necessary.

Key Requirements

Must be able to empathise with customers to understand the concerns conveyed in their formal queries to us.


Must be an adept communicator, well organised time keeper, positive self-starter, with the ability to prioritise their day-to-day work, that works well on their own and/or as part of a team.
