The Governors of Ribbleton Avenue Methodist Junior School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistants. The post is for 37 hours per week / 39 weeks a year (Term Time plus Insets).

Experience in supporting Maths and English lessons with a secure academic understanding of the KS2 curriculum,
Experience of and a desire to, work in an area of high deprivation with it's own unique characteristics and challenges
A desire to work in a culturally diverse setting,
A friendly and genuine childcentred approach,
Some knowledge or experience working with children and young people to provide personalised learning experiences,
A calm, patient and encouraging manner, with an ability to make learning engaging,
A restorative approach to behaviour management with firm behavioural expectations built on relational practices,
An ability to be selfmotivated and manage time effectively to maximise children's learning time.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent)

Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
