The Governors of Ribbleton Avenue Methodist Junior School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistants. The post is for 37 hours per week / 39 weeks a year (Term Time plus Insets).

Not only will you be offered continued professional development, but you will also form part of a year group team, supporting across 2 classes to deliver high quality learning, interventions and life experiences for children in the Ribbleton area.

  • Experience in supporting Maths and English lessons with a secure academic understanding of the KS2 curriculum,
  • Experience of and a desire to, work in an area of high deprivation with it's own unique characteristics and challenges
  • A desire to work in a culturally diverse setting,
  • A friendly and genuine childcentred approach,
  • Some knowledge or experience working with children and young people to provide personalised learning experiences,
  • A calm, patient and encouraging manner, with an ability to make learning engaging,
  • A restorative approach to behaviour management with firm behavioural expectations built on relational practices,
  • An ability to be selfmotivated and manage time effectively to maximise children's learning time.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent)

Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
