Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their established team in Banbury.

Description

The Finance Assistant's main function is:

  • To ensure the accurate and timely recording of customer cash receipts to the Sales Ledger
  • To ensure the accurate recording of all the shops sales on a daily basis

Key Areas of Responsibility:


  • Posting of cash received from customers to the Sales Ledger on a daily basis
  • Full responsibility for all clearing of unallocated cash on customers' accounts and keeping accounts tidy
  • Ensuring reconciliation of daily banking to other accounting records
  • Accurate recording of all the shops sales, including the posting of sales into NAV and reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of the shops daily takings to banking records and of cashbooks to ledgers
  • Processing of all refunds
  • Recording of all Petty Cash Accounts, Distribution of Cash, Month End Journals and Reconciliations
  • Allocate purchase ledger invoices and credits on our capture system.
  • Post purchase ledger invoices into our EPOS system NAV
  • Check Supplier statements
  • To provide holiday coverage to the Chief Cashier
  • To provide holiday coverage to weekly payroll if required
  • From time to time any other reasonable duties as may be reasonably requested by the Line Manager
  • The position carries the responsibility for carrying out all duties to the required standard as indicated by the Line Manager and professional codes of conduct and regulations

Profile

Job Offer
The salary on offer is circa £24,000 - £25,000 plus hybrid working and other benefits.
