The Growth Company has an excellent opportunity for a Self-Employment Advisor to deliver high quality start-up advice and assistance across an allocated region, to people currently on various employability programmes who wish to consider self-employment as an option.
The Self-Employment Advisor's role is to ensure that the Restart Employability Programme service is delivered in order to produce the maximum impact in terms of assisting start-ups to reach their full potential, which will subsequently help the client from unemployment into self-employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, organising and delivering a number of workshops such as enterprise coaching and business planning.
- Understand and communicate the impact of state benefits on becoming selfemployed.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with client startups.
- Make sure those services identified as appropriate for startup clients are personally introduced.
- Actively monitor the progress and survival of startups.
- Work with the core Programme teams, the Growth Start-Up Manager and other internal teams to ensure clients have a seamless journey through the Group's Enterprise programmes.
- Ensure all enquiries and referrals are correctly recorded on associated data capturing systems, updating progress against agreed actions as plans progress.
- Represent the Group at appropriate events and contribute to the development and delivery of events targeted at clients as required.
About You:
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- An Organiser, with fantastic planning, organisational and administrative skills.
- You have commercial awareness.
- Team player, but also a selfstarter.
- Proven critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
Requirements:
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Wide ranging business experience in the private sector, particularly in a startup business.
- You have an understanding and experience of using project management techniques.
- Experience putting together and understanding a cash flow forecast.
- Comfortable with account and CRM database management.
- Excellent Presentation skills both written and oral.

Up to £30,000.00 per year
