A school in South-West Birmingham is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team on a long-term basis, starting immediately.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the teacher to support young people aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

You will create a safe and nurturing environment to help young people grow and develop, providing one-on-one support to a specific pupil.

The school caters to the special educational needs of young people who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

The pupils have exhibited challenging behaviours, frequently associated with a wide range of complex conditions such as ASC, ADHD, and Attachment Disorder.

Many of them have faced multiple school changes and periods of absence from full-time education.

At Smart Education, we are always seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who have worked with children classified as having various special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Severe Learning Difficulties, and Physical Disabilities (PD).
