Cambridgeshire (Hybrid) 2 days in office

The Company

As market leader in their industry with an impressive portfolio of products, our client has recently gone through an exciting reorganisation which has resulted in them requiring an Operations Finance Manager.

They are a forward-thinking business, and this rolecan be based remotely with an expectation of only 2 days a week in the office.


The Role

Working closely with the Head of Group Reporting this is a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant/Accounts Payable Manager to join a forward-thinking finance team and take a leadership role in ensuring routine processes are delivered on time and runsmoothly.

Whilst managing a small team you will be responsible for:


  • Ensuring payments are made on time and accounts are reconciled
  • Provide insight in working capital KPIs
  • Run Month end close process
  • Producing monthly revenue recognition including accruals and deferrals
  • Maintain schedule of accruals and prepayments required for month end
  • Preparation of VAT Returns

The Person

As an experienced accountant, with "hands on" experience of managing and developing a small management team, you will have first class stakeholder management skills and a desire to maintain high standards.

The successful individual will be proactive, self-motivatedin nature with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Hands on experience of managing an accounts payable function is essential, ideally with exposure to month end.
