The Opportunity


We have a new and exciting opportunity for an individual looking to make a real difference to the lives of residents and communities in the Cardiff area.

As a permanent, full-time Asset Management Officer you will play a vitally important role in Wales top housing association - delivering front line property related services to our residents.

Who are we looking for?


To succeed in this role, you will need a combination of skills and personal characteristics that include in an in-depth understanding of properties and their defects an ability to diagnose and how to rectify common problems within buildings as well as the interpersonal skills to deal with people in their own homes in a front-line housing setting.

In addition, an in-depth knowledge of fire safety and other compliance related areas is essential to the role.


As the role is field based, you will need to be a car user with a valid license and to provide your own vehicle.

What will you be doing?

As an asset management officer (AMO) you will be working on a patch in Cardiff, managing staff and properties. Every day is different and varied and can be challenging.

The main responsibilities of the role include:
Identifying and resolving problems that residents have reported in their homes

Carrying out stock condition surveys

Making sensible investment decisions about future works

Undertaking fire risk assessments in blocks of flats

Undertaking safety checks and assessing risk

Proactively leading, managing and developing the team of site staff in line with the WWHG way

Supporting other front-line staff

Working as part of the wider operations team to provide a high quality service
