Role:
- Gain and maintain a sound working knowledge of the regulation affecting the Group, including GDPR.
- Assist in setting up appropriate internal systems and controls to ensure that the firm meets its regulatory obligations.
- Develop and maintain an internal risk management framework to monitor, mitigate and report on risks within the Group
- Report on and/or respond to any appropriate documents published by the FCA, Central Bank of Ireland and/or any other relevant regulatory body affecting the Group.
- Act as a point of contact for employees, providing information and advice to the business on regulatory developments and how they relate to the activities of the Group.
- Act as a Data Protection Officer for the Group in discharging its responsibilities under GDPR.
- Monitor compliance by conducting regular internal audits (in accordance with the Group Compliance Department's audit schedule), produce reports on audit findings and provide feedback to relevant Departments/Individuals within the business.
- Participate in and coordinate regular external audits, implement audit findings and provide relevant feedback to the relevant Departments/individuals within the business.
- Represent the Group in a professional and compliant manner in dealings with insurers, brokers, product providers, auditors, suppliers, employees, selfemployed agents and regulatory bodies at all times.
- Assist the Group Compliance Department in implementing the company's Compliance Plan as outlined in the Compliance Monitoring Schedule.
- Prepare monthly management information and 'ad hoc' reports for Senior Management on compliance as required.
- Carrying out any other functions deemed necessary to facilitate the effective operation of the Group Compliance Department.
- To undertake such internal and/or external training as deemed necessary by the Company
- Complete specific tasks and projects to a high standard and submit these in accordance to strict deadlines
- Carry out research projects and provide/present management with findings and make recommendations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a compliance and/or governance role.
- 2 Years relevant experience within a financial services firm.
