Your next role:


Buro Happold's newly formed Digital Advisory team focuses on delivering technology and information transformation to clients to enhance their financial, environmental and social performance (the triple-bottom-line, across people, planet and places).


Our projects vary considerably; from defining the smart city technologies that will transform the resident, worker or visitor experience, to developing a sophisticated data-driven 3D model of a university campus to determine the most effective route to net zero carbon, to outlining the team, processes and policies required for our clients to manage data quickly and securely..

However, all our projects have engineering or 'real-world asset' expertise at their core and it is that, with our relentless focus on the triple-bottom-line that makes us unique.


The team works across a range of consulting areas including strategy, business case development, program management, data, governance, solution development, innovation and change management.

We are looking for consultants who want to collaborate with other offices, our experts in design, and technologists internally and externally to make a real-world difference.


Key duties:


  • Management of workstreams (large projects) or engagements (small projects) from outcome definition, activity planning to successful delivery and knowledge capture.
  • Manage (plandoreview) workstreams across areas such as digital strategies and change programmes for some of the world's most iconic projects and clients, including running workshops, developing roadmap and vision, defining solution designs, conducting research, drafting deliverables, delivering steerco presentations, developing and delivering process, governance, organisation and procurement changes plus more.
  • Lead development of digital strategy and transformation tools, templates and artefacts to allow the approach to be communicated, planned, or implemented more effectively.
  • Design and facilitate effective client workshops to accelerate current understanding, identify opportunities, and build consensus across a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients based on credibility and active listening.
  • Supervise, manage and develop others on and off projects.
  • Support continuous development of digital advisory services and gotomarket offers.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to deliver high quality outputs that are tailored to the client's business.
  • Support business development and specifically the creation of innovative proposals.
  • Build new skills and strengthen your expertise with training and support.

Your skills & experience:


  • Digital Strategy, innovation, transformation and/or relevant background.
  • Some experience with project management and / or consulting methodologies e.g. MSP, Designled thinking or others.
  • Leadership of projects or workstreams with client or customer interaction.
  • A strong interest in the use of technology in business and urban transformation.
  • Specific experience, content knowledge and practice in at least one of: innovation, digital strategy development, business case development, digital procurement, enterprise or IT architecture, operating models and organisation design, program advisory, governance or information management.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Understanding of construction process and / or experience within built environment would be beneficial.
  • Relevant digital or business (CA, ACA, MBA) professional qualification would be beneficial.
