A mid sized County Durham firm are looking to add strength to their accounting services with the appointment of an Accounting Supervisor to their local offices.


On behalf of our client we are looking for an Accountant, either qualified by experience or by professional exams,(ACCA / ACA / CA) and with experience in statutory accounting and supervising small teams.


This is suitable to Accountants already working at a supervisory level, but is also open to those unofficially supervising and looking for a role that officially recognises their capabilities.


Your day to day will see you work with private limited organisations, mainly SME in size, assisting them with their year end accounts.

You will be responsible for the completion of more complex accounts and reviewing the work of a small team of 4/5 staff.

This will also entail some training and mentoring of the trainees.

Client portfolios are Partner led but you will still have the opportunity to engage with clients regularly assisting them with their queries and gathering the necessary information required to deliver accounting services to deadlines.

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly and personable individual with good leadership skills.

Salaries are competitive and will reflect your level of experience.

The office is centrally based and will require you to be present daily given the role is leading a small team.
