The Role:

An opportunity has arisen within the M&G Market Intelligence team for an Institutional Market Intelligence Analyst.

The purpose of the team is to operate as a centre of intelligence on market, product and competitor trends, developing insightful and value addanalysis with the objective of informing, supporting and influencing business decision making.

The team supports stakeholders across the entire business.


Key Responsibilities for this role:


  • Support the Institutional Market Intelligence team to produce insightful analysis which supports, informs and influences stakeholder decision making.
  • Originate mandate opportunities and inform sales teams of trends and opportunities within their region
  • Monitor reports published in the market, summarize and distribute within the organization
  • Support the institutional function to build regular reporting with a team based in Mumbai.
  • Become a power user of eVestment, Broadridge and Preqin
  • Manage and maintain market intelligence data on an intranet site
  • Create and organise support plans for each country for the year
  • Support the RFP team with data for RFPS and Support Sales Support teams with MI for pitchbooks
  • Support specific distribution channels in time
  • Work independently and as part of a team to identify and understand key market, competitor, product and proposition trends and to distil and disseminate key findings to the business.
  • Monitor and update the job bag sheet for the Institutional business

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Experience working in Asset Management (essential)
  • We are looking for a keen, driven person who wants to build a career within Market Intelligence
  • Knowledge of the asset management a plus
  • Experience of industry data tools such as Broadridge, eVestment, Preqin and Mercer.
  • A strong understanding of quantitative data tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau and Power BI would be helpful.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and written skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
