IT Field Engineer (Field, Engineer, Windows, On-site, IT, Support, Active Directory, LAN, WAN, Network, Imaging) - Permanent - Stevenage


Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an IT Field Engineer on a permanent basis for a large UK business based out of Stevenage.

This role will consist of travel to other sites.


Location:
Stevenage (with travel to other sites in North London)


Salary:
£27,000 - £29,000 Per Annum Plus Expenses


Skills/Requirements for the IT Field Engineer:

  • Previous experience as a Field Engineer
  • Strong Windows operating systems experience around Windows 7/10
  • Hardware support including Printers, Scanners, PC's and Laptops
  • Experience of both Imaging PC's and Laptops
  • Strong LAN and WAN experience
  • Ability to work on Network hardware ports and routers
  • Experience of working within DNS/DHCP in the past is desirable
Start date for the IT Field Engineer is ASAP

This is a field based role so will require a driving licence.


The IT Field Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Managing and prioritising technical support workload
  • Provide technical support to other sites as part of a distributed Helpdesk service.
  • Installing new hardware and software for users as instructed
  • Undertaking basic administration of PBX and cloud based phone system. (Training will be given).
  • Updating & maintaining asset register of ICT hardware.
  • Carrying out network audits such as asset location and security checks.
  • Ensure that all software installations comply with the End User License Agreements.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to other teams and senior members of the IT team
