About Our Client:

Page Personnel Logistics have partnered with a leading logistics provider in their search for a Transport Coordinator on nights. This role will play a critical part in this organization's operation helping to optimise and utilise each vehicle's delivery. The role has been created due to new contract wins.

The Transport Coordinator on nights role will require the individual to:

  • Coordinating and planning vehicles efficiently using a transport planning software.
  • Coordinating and planning routes in an optimised and efficient manner
  • Ensuring that time windows and delivery timings are adhered to
  • Coordinating and planning of emergency orders
  • Liaising with Customer Services and Account management teams for service related queries
  • Monitoring & managing information from the vehicle telematics system.
  • Supporting the transport manager with route optimisation in relation to VOR and vehicle related issues
  • Ensuring customer demand is met by proactively managing driver resource Vs vehicle requirements.
  • Briefing and debriefing drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned.
  • Responding promptly to route feedback and ensuring improvement opportunities are acted upon
  • Ensuring all key vehicle information is kept up to date on the system relating to delivery points.
  • Making sure that operational procedures and general housekeeping are kept to a high standard.
  • Supporting the Transport Manager with other requirements as needed
  • Providing daily/weekly and monthly KPI reports for the Transport Manager and Depot Manager

The Successful Applicant:


  • Previous experience of any despatch or logistics coordination or transport planning within a busy distribution operation
  • Previous experience of planning for up to 30 vehicles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Real team player who thrives in a fastpaced, busy, and challenging environment.
  • Previous experience of working within a transport and warehouse operation is essential
  • Highly organised with proven ability to plan and prioritise your workload and work calmly and methodically in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, notably Excel with strong attention to detail.
  • Be results driven and commercially minded
  • Be commutable to Northampton and able to work on nights
