After School Club Assistant - Bushey


We have a fantastic primary school in Bushey who are looking for an After School Club Assistant to support and supervise children.

This is a permanent full time role Monday to Friday 2pm-6.30pm. This role is available immediately


The Role:


  • Lead groups of children in specific sport, game craft and learning activities. Manage behaviour and adapt the activity to meet the needs of groups or individuals
  • Check that play and learning conditions conform to the appropriate health and safety standards and are suitable for the group and activity planned
  • Contribute to the corporate responsibility for continuously checking that the premises, gates, etc are secure, reporting defects promptly to the leader in charge
  • Undertake child protection measures, reporting areas of concern to the senior Manager

Requirements:


  • Have a good understanding of the key skills and traits required to be a After School Club Assistant
  • Previous experience as an After School Club Assistant would be ideal
  • Previous experience working or supporting children where a reference can be obtained is essential
  • Be able to work Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6.30pm
  • Either live in Bushey or within a commutable distance

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
