We have an exciting position available for a Community Centre Supervisor at The Valley Community Centre, whose role will be to effectively control and operate the Centre, including ensuring the centre is well presented, providing a clean and hygienic condition for groups and visitors and complete all associated paperwork.


You will be a team player in the Community Facilities Team who manage seven community centres, four community use high schools, grass football pitches, Parr Fold Park Café and tennis courts.


Working pattern:
Monday: 10.15am-3.00pm - 4.75

Thursday: 10.15am-3.00pm (half an hour lunch 12.15pm-12.45pm

With the potential opportunity to pick up hours on a casual basis at The Valley and other Community facilities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent customer service skills and the passion and drive to increase the centre's current programme
  • Is willing to cover additional shifts as and when required
  • Will maintain the centre to a high standard of cleanliness and order of stock and equipment as and when required
  • Is able to complete check sheets and other paperwork in accordance with Health and Safety legislation including fire safety
  • Has the ability to use a PC, complete financial paperwork, take card payments and bank monies when required
  • Will be a keyholder for the premises
  • Is willing to learn and attend any appropriate training courses
  • Consistently demonstrates SCL's behaviours
Due to lone working this position is suitable for ages 18 and over only.
