Are you a Senior Developer with knowledge of Geographic Information Systems?

Sopra Steria's award winning Government & Transport sector are on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer who has previous experience working on GIS Web Mapping or other relevant Mapping projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving teamdiving into an exciting project working in the transport industry.

You will ideally have experience in C# and Microsoft Azure as well as a good understanding of GIS Mapping, but this is an excellent opportunity for someone to build on their abilities and learnmore.

You will possess the ability to solve problems with a commercial judgement and communicate any feedback to relevant partners.

This role will see you working predominantly at home with occasional travel and so can align to any of our offices (London, Hemel Hempstead, Manchester or Edinburgh).

What you'll be doing:

Greenfield Development work using modern technologies including GIS Web Mapping, C# and Microsoft Azure
Deliver work to agreed timescales that fit with progress of the rest of the team, all working towards the same goal
Design, Development and testing of highly scalable, responsive code
Manage own workloads
Produce systems documentation

What you'll bring:

GIS Mapping Development using C# and JavaScipt
Cloud Application Development using Microsoft Azure
SQL
Agile (Scrum)

It would be great if you had:

Web Development (React, TypeScript, SCSS)
