Settlements Administrator

My financial services client based in Liverpool requires a Settlements Administrator to join a Transaction Processing and Post Trade Services team on a permanent basis.

This role is paying up to £24K and will be based in the company's offices in Liverpool citycentre, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.


Job Description:


  • Cash and stock break resolution
  • Responsible for review, investigation and response on client queries
  • Assisting manager on projects and client meetings
  • Testing for releases, functional changes, and adhoc testing
  • Day to day settlements duties and tasks
  • Chasing counter parties for outstanding trades
  • Ensuring accounts are fully funded
  • Resolving blocked or rejected trades
  • Managing stock positions to ensure securities are in the right place
  • Keeping procedures updated
  • Saving down and learning market information
  • Provides quality client service (occasionally complex) and support to internal and external clients on a daily basis, including phone interaction, problem resolution and updates to client accounts in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs (sometimes complex) operational tasks in a product or functional area, including processing updates to client trades. Conducts independent analysis of settlement issues to resolution.
  • Executes all correspondent requisites in a timely and accurate manner with an understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
  • Maintains correspondent accounts in accordance with applicable regulations and policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing exposure related to assigned processing tasks.
  • Accurately reconciles and resolves cash and stock differences.
  • Provides product knowledge and technical assistance as necessary.
  • Responsible for the quality and completion of own work.
Required Skills and Attributes

  • Proven track record of delivering excellent client service
  • Ability to adapt to change and use initiative to overcome challenges
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of International market settlements, securities settlements desirable
  • Use of SWIFT messaging software desirable
