Description

The post holder, in conjunction with leaders in the service, will be responsible for the operational management of Cameo, early intervention in psychosis service.


This will include effective leadership, management of human and budgetary resources, ensuring evidence based practice within the community setting, as well as evident ability to co-ordinate varying tasks in care delivery and manage unplanned challenges.


The Operational Lead will work with the Service Manager in implementing the NHS Plan and delivering the Trusts strategic objectives.

This post is predominately Monday Friday 9am 5pm, there may be times when flexibility is expected, in line with role and responsibility.

CAMEO is an award-winning Early Intervention service in Cambridge and

Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT) offering assessment, treatment and support to people aged years who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time.


Cameo was established in 2002 and the service has had a significant impact on the development of the Early Intervention model across the UK and internationally.

The service is committed to a strong research ethos which is firmly embedded within the teams.


The team operates from two team bases: one in Cambridge and one in Peterborough.

To assist the clinical team manager in the monitoring of quality standards in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.


Utilising and compiling data available for feedback to team such as learning from incidences and complaints, activity levels, compliance with national quality standards.

To share operational supervisory role with the clinical team manager.

To be responsible for the promotion of carer and service user involvement within the service and for its provision. To encourage recovery, discovery and independence, taking into account risk assessment and management.


To respect and value the different therapeutic approaches within the multidisciplinary team but ensure that the agreed philosophy approach is adopted and followed.

To demonstrate care and compassion in their work.


To be responsible for maintaining and conducting oneself in a professional manner towards service users, carers, colleagues and other agencies, at all times.

To participate in working collaboratively with other Trust services and external agencies to provide seamless care for service users.

To ensure that they contribute and work towards the service/organisational aims and objectives.
