We are pleased to be able to offer the exciting opportunity of a full time permanent Court of Protection Visiting Officer.


We are looking for somebody to join a close-knit team, who is able to work with autonomy, who has good office skills whilst being able to build relationships and show empathy towards vulnerable clients.


The team manages the Property and Affairs of people that have been assessed as lacking the capacity to do so themselves, with each Officer having responsibility for their own caseload.


You would be responsible for all aspects of the client's personal finances, this would involve regular contact with clients, their care staff and other involved professionals.


You will be liaising with different agency's including the Department for Work and Pensions, the Court of Protection (COP) and the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) as well with other departments within the Trust.


You will be carrying out regular tasks such as bank reconciliations, completing annual reports and keeping accurate records and always working within the legal framework of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA 2005) and GDPR.

We are an agile/flexible working team.

Initially the post will be office based to allow for training and in the medium to longer term there is the opportunity for hybrid working.


This role is interesting and varied and would offer the opportunity to make a positive difference to vulnerable people's lives.
