This is an office based position, responsible for service delivery to the local customer base for handling additional, more complex tasks as delegate
Location
World Freight Terminal, Airport, Manchester
Requirements:
Main accountabilities include:
- Answer incoming enquiries from the local customer base
- Make bookings onto the Ami system.
- Monitor and correct any irregularities found
- Provide quotations cross referencing any relevant products and offering the most appropriate product to the client.
- Respond to delegated tasks, such as accounts, pallet planning, airline purchasing, sales activities.
- Securing business and maximising profits.
- Issue documentation as required: MAWB/HAWB/HMC & Security documentation/invoices.
- Assist with operational issues; liaising with warehouse, and other internal/external departments as required
- Respond to customer complaints according to company policy in a professional manner at all times. Referring any written complaints to Supervisor level or above.
- Work in accordance with AMI quality assurance procedures.
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly audits as required and in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with training new and inexperienced staff.
- Any other reasonable tasks as delegated.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Good customer service skills ideally within an airfreight export environment
- Good operation and product knowledge
- Good time management & prioritisation skills essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail
- Good Interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Must be proactive and forward thinking
- MS office skills
- Word, Excel would be advantageous
- Level CO security certificate desirable (training will be provided)
