Job Purpose

  • Managing the daytoday deliverables of a busy tax department.
  • Managing a team of talented tax accountants.
  • The review and completion of tax returns and accounts.
  • Overseeing and developing tax return processes for the department.
  • Meeting with clients to provide tax advisory services.
  • Providing technical and compliance support on all aspects of taxation.
  • Attendance at networking events and identifying opportunities to sell additional services to existing clients & prospective new clients.
  • Manage the financial implications of client work including recoveries, identification of additional work to be billed for and selling this to clients, to identify and chase late payment of fees.
  • Encourage, support, and mentor junior team members, overseeing professional development and championing customer service excellence.
  • Proactively investigate and identify opportunities for the firm and clients and be confident in presenting and discussing them at Partner level.
  • Offering first class communication internally and externally both written and verbal.
  • Support the Partners with all aspects of tax and business development work as well as with ad hoc tasks.

What are we looking for?

  • CTA qualified, and or ATT, with at least three years' experience within practice.
  • Experience across mixed tax and compliance.
  • Technically proficient, with some compliance experience.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • Selfmotivated and highly organised.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others.
  • Constructive mentorship junior team members.
  • Confident in networking, representing the firm in a professional manner.
