Duties:


  • Assist with a large cashiering portfolio of all types of insolvency assignments, including trading administrations, reporting to the Senior Cashier.
  • Bank reconciliations (mainly GBP but foreign currencies when required).
  • Open and close estate and client bank accounts (including fixed term deposits when required) and monitor balances to ensure do not go overdrawn.
  • Bank cheques and cash or as submitted for payment by external parties (infrequently).
  • Process CHAPS and BACS payments using online banking.
  • Process receipts and journals as directed by the team.
  • Ensure cashiering instructions are appropriately supported by documentary evidence.
  • Attend to and resolve ad hoc enquiries that may be raised by the team from time to time.
  • Monthly bordereau.
  • Produce statutory forms from IPS in accordance with the Insolvency Rules, regulations and deadlines.
  • Process and raise fee invoice requests.
  • Maintaining electronic case records on electronic case management software.
  • Moorfields is strongly committed to data security and all employees are expected to abide by our ISO accreditation and company policies.

Qualifications/skills:


  • Preferably A-Level educated or above with strong academic track record.
  • Previous experience and a knowledge of insolvency rules and statutory requirements is advantageous but full training will be provided.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proactive approach and committed to delivering the highest possible service to clients.
  • Able to multitask to deal with a variety of duties and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A team player who is able to also work on own initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • In addition to full inhouse training, support will be provided to obtain further relevant qualifications as desired.
