    Job advertisement:
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and determined Attendance & Welfare Officer to join our team. We are looking for a self-motivated, adaptable and perceptive individual to fill the role. The position involves working closely with the pastoral team to effectively manage the attendance and punctuality of the students, the inputting of attendance information into SIMS and liaising with students and families regarding timekeeping, including daily contact with parents to follow up absence. The role will also involve supporting attendance during the school day by responding to students' welfare/first aid concerns as they arise.-
  • The role requires someone highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise. We are looking for someone able to review, design and implement systems and strategies to help us achieve our attendance target. The ability to remain calm, work under pressure and work to deadlines is essential.
  • As the role will involve the efficient daily recording and monitoring of student attendance in SIMS, good IT skills and experience of working with SIMS would be beneficial, although training can be provided. A knowledge and understanding of the education sector or experience of working within a school environment would also be desirable but is not essential.
