Working Days and Hours:

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday.

Role Purpose:

To support and advise the Hospital teams on all Health and Safety matters, promoting a strong Health and Safety culture throughout the Hospitals.

Core Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

To advise and assist the Senior Management Teams (SMT), interpret and meet obligations under applicable Health & Safety Acts, regulations and guidance.
To support and advise the Hospital teams on all Health and Safety matters, promoting a strong Health and Safety culture throughout the Hospitals.
To support the Hospital in demonstrating an appropriate level of compliance with relevant health and safety standards to our regulators i.e., the CQC, HSE, EA, local government agents and interested parties.
To advise on the governance and adherence to COSHH regulation.
To champion environmental waste management, continually improving performance.
Adherence to Health and Safety policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

You must have a valid driving licence and your own transport
:

NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
Ability to deliver fire safety training
Ability to interpret relevant health and safety legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and guidance and to advice managers on a range of health and safety matters.
Risk Assessor experience
RCA / Incident investigation skill
Contractor Management skills
Experience undertaking audits
Good IT skills
Knowledge of Environmental legislation and standards
