Working Days and Hours:

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday.

Role Purpose:


  • To support and advise the Hospital teams on all Health and Safety matters, promoting a strong Health and Safety culture throughout the Hospitals.

Core Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:


  • To advise and assist the Senior Management Teams (SMT), interpret and meet obligations under applicable Health & Safety Acts, regulations and guidance.
  • To support and advise the Hospital teams on all Health and Safety matters, promoting a strong Health and Safety culture throughout the Hospitals.
  • To support the Hospital in demonstrating an appropriate level of compliance with relevant health and safety standards to our regulators i.e., the CQC, HSE, EA, local government agents and interested parties.
  • To advise on the governance and adherence to COSHH regulation.
  • To champion environmental waste management, continually improving performance.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

You must have a valid driving licence and your own transport
:


  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
  • Ability to deliver fire safety training
  • Ability to interpret relevant health and safety legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and guidance and to advice managers on a range of health and safety matters.
  • Risk Assessor experience
  • RCA / Incident investigation skill
  • Contractor Management skills
  • Experience undertaking audits
  • Good IT skills
  • Knowledge of Environmental legislation and standards
