About the Role:

Chelmer PCN has an exciting opportunity for a PCN administrator to join our busy PCN support team, on a part-time basis for 24 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays, 8.30am - 5pm.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working as part of a team and wants to have a positive impact on their local community.


The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the PCN including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to the Clinical Director, PCN Manager and other members of the team
  • Coordinate meetings across 4 practices to include coordinating agenda, taking minutes and preparing reports
  • Organise training events and coordinate speakers
  • Diarise appointments for clinical director and management team
  • Meet with PCN Manager regularly to prioritise tasks
  • Recruitment & HR administration
  • Action/follow up PCN correspondence and deal confidentially, efficiently and politely with enquiries.
  • Experienced medical administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills
  • Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communicators able to work in a confidential and discreet manner
  • Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment
  • Able to multitask, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.

Our PCN covers 4 practices across Mid Essex:
Chelmer Village Surgery, North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre, Rivermead Gate Medical Centre and Sutherland Lodge.

This role provides a great opportunity to join a committed team supporting our local population of 40,000+ patients, within the Chelmsford local area.
