Reports to:
Production Manager


Overall Purpose:

Manufacture and pack quality food products that are safe and legal in accordance with batch sheets, good manufacturing practice and food safety supervisor operatives in carrying out the same activities.


Key Accountabilities and Tasks

  • Plan effective use of manpower and equipment to maximize efficiency
  • Manage production throughput in line with agreed production schedule
  • Ensure production is carried out in accordance with relevant critical controls
  • Train/coach staff in order to ensure processes & are followed correctly
  • Compound flavours, colours and other products issued batch sheets
  • Pack flavours. Colours and other products issued batch sheets
  • Complete clearly and accurately
  • Clean production vessels and equipment
  • Maintain clean and safe production area and warehouse
  • Ensure equipment is used safely in accordance with instructions
  • Assist with stocktakes as/when required
  • Bring any nonconformance or incidents to the attention of the Production Manager

Communications

  • Primarily with Production Manager
  • Liaison with internal colleagues in particular Warehouse Manager, other MSO's
  • Clear and articulate verbal and written communication

Key Skills & Experience

  • Numerate and literate with communication skills
  • Clean and organized in own work area
  • Able to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Manual handling (using lifting where appropriate)
