The Warehouse Operative role is within a busy, fast paced environment. Experience within a similar role would be preferred.

Duties Include

  • Receiving goods inwards from suppliers, checking against delivery note and booking in on computer system
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding shortages, errors etc.
  • Putting goods into relevant location in stores area
  • Attending to engineers at trade counter.
  • Issuing of & returning of stock on computer
  • Regular stock count
  • General filing paperwork
  • Movement of heavy goods & equipment to various locations around the warehouse/compound
  • Tracking & recording of capital equipment to various sites around the country
  • Loading & unloading of vehicles
  • Ordering of goods from suppliers (This is occasional and for holiday/absence of company buyer)
Experience required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Forklift license preferable.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Driving license preferred due to site location
