The Role:
Analysis usage and stock holding to ensure min max levels ensure we achieve on time delivery for both external sales and Contract Maintenance whilst achieving the business goal of 4 turns per year.
Manage HOT requests through ETQ, including shorts for both External customers and internal customers; these are to be managed via the MRP system.
Complete paperwork to receive, process and despatch used cores to correct facilities within the company (UK and US).Resolve all core issues that may arise and track the core in transit report to ensure all despatched core is received in at the relevant Progress Rail facility.
In Transit target is a maximum of 8 weeks for the core to be goods received at the receiving facility.
External suppliers need to be managed through procurement.To work positively with Supervisors and Managers to implement quality improvement initiatives, improve performance, reduce cost and ensure security and safety within the area.
Responsibilities Include:
- Builds productive and effective working relationships with company staff and customers
- Maintains accurate stock levels to achieve an average of 4 turns
- Ensures completion of paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Manages the excess and obsolete parts within the business
- Ensures SAP system is accurate and up to date
- Ensures all stock movements comply with customs requirements
- Works positively with the Customer Service team and others in the company to ensure efficient and informed delivery of stock to internal and external customers
- Contributes to the Continuous Improvement Program for Inventory and Warehousing maintaining compliance for Safety Critical work and Rail Regulations
- Lifting up to 50lbs in weight
Ideally you will have:
- Warehousing or Logistics Qualification
- Manual Handling Certificate or willing to achieve this within 3 months
