What you'll be doing
Planning
- Collaborate with the Product Developer to support the development of new products from concept to launch.
- Coordinate with external suppliers to develop design samples, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Monitor and update the product development critical path, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers to facilitate effective communication and streamline the development process.
Development
- Assist in the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each season, verifying accuracy before ordering materials.
- Work closely with the Design Team to ensure that their creative vision is accurately translated into product specifications.
- Support the product development process from initial design concepts to sample production, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and market trends.
- Maintain accurate records of product development activities, including sample requests, approvals, and supplier communications.
Approvals
- Own the approval process for repeat style black seals, ensuring consistency and quality across product lines.
- Collaborate with the technical and design teams to review and approve trims, fabrics, and other materials for production.
Quality Assurance
- With the Product Developer, conduct thorough quality inspections on product samples to identify any defects or discrepancies.
- Communicate feedback and quality standards to suppliers to ensure that final products meet brand expectations.
Research and Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to inform product development decisions.
- Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for product innovation.
What you'll need
- An understanding of garment construction and familiarity with the fit process.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
- Ability to anticipate and manage problems as well as prioritise and escalate where necessary
- Creative and able to come with ideas and solutions
- Passion for sustainability
- Detailoriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality assurance.
- Previous experience in product development, merchandising, or a related role within the fashion industry is preferred.
What you should know

- Permanent fulltime role
- 30 hour/4 day week with full time salary
- Salary 24k
