Machinery Engineer, Haydock, Merseyside:


  • Resolve Recruitment are working with a leading Food Packaging manufacturing company based in Haydock, Merseyside, that are looking for a Machinery Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis_

The Role;

  • Adhering with the companies BRC IOP certification, Health and Safety regulations and good manufacturing practise
  • Performing product changeovers, setups and ensuring that all products, machinery and tools meet the manufacturing specification, company health and safety procedures and quality and time targets
  • Working to meet set KPI's
  • Assisting with the organising and ordering of new machinery for new products
  • Creating and maintaining reports and records for all machinery
  • Reporting on performance and any issues with machinery to your Technical Manager
  • Assisting in running of machinery, including working alongside other Operators
  • Manage factory waste, ensuring that the work environment is up to company standards
  • Maintaining and completing production forms
  • Taking an active role in training of other staff members

The Person;

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have valid right to work within the UK
  • Must have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Must be self motivated, and have the ability to work alone as well as within a team
  • Must be enthusiastic
  • Must be an excellent problem solver
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience within a Machinery/Tool Engineer role
  • Must be computer literate and standard knowledge using MS Excel, Ms Word and Powerpoint
  • Must be able to use own initiative and present new ideas to management regarding possible improvements in the working environment
  • Must be willing and able to take a hands on approach with not only finding faults but rectifying any issues with machinery/production processes
  • Holding a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is advantageous
  • Holding a valid Health and Safety qualification is advantageous
  • Experience working within a Thermoforming/VAC Forming environment is advantageous

- £26,000 - £36,000 dependant on experience
