Hours of work: 39.75 HOURS 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MONDAY - THURSDAY, 8.00 AM - 2:15 PM FRIDAY


In conjunction with South West College, we are offering a Apprenticeship Program for School leavers or those who wish to return to education alongside having secure employment.

You will be studying towards a 3 year Engineering Qualification alongside on the job training as an Apprentice Field Service Engineer within the Terex Technical Support Team in Terex Dungannon.

Responsibilities:

The Apprentice Field Service Engineer will be involved in a wide range of activities in relation to the Terex machines including the following:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the Terex Technical Support Team delivering first class field service to our dealers and customers world wide
  • To maintain compliance to all health and safety regulations
  • Machine setup
  • Initial mechanical and hydraulic testing
  • Machine clean down in prep for rework
  • Machine strip/rework/rebuild including mechanical, electric and hydraulic components.
  • Electrical, Mechanical and hydraulic engineering tasks.
  • Maintain 3 phase industrial electrical equipment on mobile plant
  • Work with Test and Development Engineers and Design Engineers to develop and refine the prototype machines
  • Report back/highlight any issues found while completing rework or design improvements.
  • Replace/repair any worn or damaged parts including wear liners to leave machines in good working order.
  • Ensure compliance to all general site rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Travel to support dealers and customers
  • Care of company vehicle and reporting of defects
  • To be honest in character and report punctually for duty with clean, tidy appearance, dressed in accordance with Terex standards.
Experience and Qualifications

  • 6 GCSEs at Grade C and above including Maths, English & Science Technology
  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles
  • Basic knowledge of 3D Solid Modelling CAD
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Numerical skills
  • IT literate
