Description

Graduate Tax Trainee sought for the friendly team of this well respected private client tax team in Edinburgh.

The tax team provide comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services to an impressive private client portfolio including high-net-worth individuals, professional partnerships, business owners, properties, trusts and estates.

As a trainee, you will support with a range of tax processing and administration tasks as you build your tax technical awareness towards managing the full tax compliance process.

You will also progress towards managing your own small portfolio of clients, building strong relationships with them and ensuring their records are kept accurate and up to date.

This would be a career-enhancing opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be Graduate to develop a rewarding career in personal tax within a close-knit team of tax specialists.

You will be given on-the-job training and support to work towards becoming an experienced and trusted tax advisor. You will also be offered study support package towards professional ATT/CTA tax qualifications.

Previous experience in a tax role is not essential, and previous experience within professional services or customer facing roles would be advantageous.

To be considered for this role, you must be:

A soon-to-be (or recent)

University Graduate, minimum 2:1 grade (or predicted) with strong academic history

A selfstarter with strong attention to detail
An excellent communicator (both verbal and written) with a passion for working with others and ability to work independently
Ambitious and passionate about developing a career in tax
An excellent problem solver who enjoys researching new concepts to broaden your technical knowledge and commercial acumen
