Are you available at shorter notice and seeking a new Finance Assistant role in Accounts?
Are you AAT Level 2 qualified?


REED Accountancy Oxfordshire have been exclusively approached to recruit on behalf of one of Wallingford's most prestigious top employers, to recruit a Finance Assistant, on an temporary to permanent contract, to start as soon as possible.


The role is a hybrid opportunity (4 days in office and 1 day from home), with a 35 hour week in an exceptional location.

In addition to the salary of up to £25,000, the company offers competitive benefits, including free onsite parking and study supportfor the right applicant.

As part of a small Finance team, you will have full exposure to a wide range of day-to-day finance activities including accounts payable, payroll, budgeting and opportunities to shadow the management accountant.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing Purchase Ledger invoices
  • Processing Expenses claims
  • Processing Credit Card submissions
  • Preparing payment runs and entering onto bank
  • Entering cheques into Cashbook receipts and taking to the bank
  • Posting bank transactions
  • Raising adhoc Sales Invoices
  • Bank Reconciliations for responsible companies
  • Credit control for relevant companies
  • Monitoring the team mailboxes and clearing daily
  • Adhoc reporting and support as requested by the Finance Manager

Knowledge and Skills:

  • PC Literate and good skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Systems experience, ideally with Xero (desirable)
