East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people's lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Housing Information and Governance team as a
Housing Monitoring Officer.

Your role:

This is a new role within team and will focus on the performance of the Landlord's Service and Housing Revenue Account

The Housing sector is going through a period of change, driven by emerging legislation and regulation intended to assure safe homes for tenants and better services from landlords.

These Acts impose new duties and responsibilities on social housing landlords with associated requirements for effective data monitoring and sharing with tenants.

In this new role, you will measure, monitor and analyse the performance of the Housing service.

You will collate operational data from a range of sources and analyse the results to identify and report on trends and areas of concern.

The outputs will be delivered to the Housing Strategic Leads and used to direct decision making to improve the performance of the service.

In addition, you will work with colleagues in Housing and the corporate ICT team to implement new technology to create the infrastructure required for robust data collection, analysis and reporting.

The vision is to create Housing performance dashboards, with automated delivery of data from the line-of-business systems used in the Housing service.

This will be done alongside the existing work to measure the progress and performance of the Councils Strategic Plan.

What you will need:

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to problem solve and be able to produce and present analytical and statistical information to a range of audiences.

The ability to analyse complex data in a timely manner, and to present recommendations regarding business improvements is also essential.
