The post holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative support for the Quality Information team in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures.

To act as a source of advice and guidance regarding Datix, Policies and Procedures and Quality Information processes.

  • Prioritise all incoming work on a regular basis, responding promptly, appropriately and communicating clearly in relation to urgent/important issues
  • To review electronic Incident report forms on the Datix System for accuracy and consistency in accordance with departmental requirements
  • To ensure quality of data on the Datix system complied with the National Reporting & Learning System (NRLS) and future Learning from Patient Safety Events (LFPSE) requirements.
  • To facilitate the correct level of access for users on the Datix System in accordance with Information Governance

  • To assist the Quality System Specialist in providing administrative support to the functions and processes required for the effective use of the Datix System, including administrative support for implementing changes and enhancements to the Datix System.
  • To manage the DatixMail Inbox daily to facilitate prompt responses and actions to queries and requests.
  • To produce statistical reports from Datix as and when required, including evaluating data to identify trends for escalation to the Patient Safety & Risk Team.
  • To provide administrative support for the Policies, Procedures and Strategies process to ensure timely uploads of new or updated Policies, Procedures and Strategies.
  • Assist in maintaining an effective communication model for the Quality Information Team, including participating in regular huddles, answering telephone enquiries in a courteous and timely manner and respond to routine enquiries. Provide support for the department intranet page and communication media when requested
  • Provide administrative support for the wider Patient Safety & Risk team as directed by the Quality Information Lead.
