Are you looking for part-time, term-time based work?

Courtesy Cars Redhill, one of Surrey's premier Home to School Transport providers is looking for drivers to join our service for children with special needs.


These roles can provide significant job satisfaction through assisting children with disabilities attend school and achieve their full potential in life.

Drivers may be supported by a Passenger Care Assistant if necessary.


Work will be based mainly around school start and finish times, and is term-time only. Hours of work are between 7am - 9.45am and pm Mondays to Fridays.

We are looking for both drivers to drive one of our fleet vehicles, as well as self-employed drivers who wish to use their own vehicle.

This may suit those that have other flexible work commitments that can work around this role.

We have work available in Redhill, Reigate and the surrounding areas throughout Surrey and are also taking on Passenger Assistants in the same areas.

We are looking for staff to begin work as soon as all relevant checks and DBS clearance has been completed.

Responsibilities:


  • Safely transport children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to and from school in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of each student by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Regularly inspect the vehicle to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, teacher aids, and school staff regarding any concerns or issues.
  • Attend training sessions or workshops to stay updated on any changes in transportation policies and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and their families.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate persons.

Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules or circumstances.
  • Prior experience working with children may be advantageous
