London/Hybrid working

Salary up to £100,000 + bonus

THE COMPANY
A leading private equity insurance provider is looking for a lead data scientist to join the team. The company's vision is to deliver intelligent insurance using machine learning algorithms and AI. The role will be focused on building predictive machinelearning models that enable risk and price optimisation for their customers.

THE ROLE
As a Lead data scientist your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Building and deploying predictive machine learning models
Build risk analysis and dynamic price optimisation models
Maintain and improve existing machine learning models
Work closely with product, engineering and analytic teams to deliver data science solutions
Collaborate and present projects to senior stakeholders
Mentor junior data scientist in the team

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your requirements as a Lead Data Scientist:

An MSc in a STEM degree (e.g Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence or Mathematics)
Experience building and deploying machine learning models using Python
Experience building pricing models
4+ years of commercial data science experience
Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark and Hadoop
Experience working with senior stakeholders and delivering data science solutions
A background in datadriven price and revenue optimisation in largescale commercial environments, e.g. in the Retail, Airline/Aviation or Hospitality
Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning methods
