Job Title Accounts Assistant


Accountable to Management Accountants/Financial Controller


Hours **37.5 hours per week


Required Skills:


  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct (desirable)

To act at all times in accordance with the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) Code of Practice, the National Healthcare Standards Commission and the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct, CQC & ISO9001.


To promote and maintain a high standard of patient care at all times following and adherence to all CRGH policies and protocols.


General Responsibilities:


  • Managing the purchase ledger function and processing timely supplier payments
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Assigning invoices to the relevant line managers to obtain payment approvals (via Yooz invoice capture system)
  • Checking purchase invoices against delivery notes, purchase orders and contract prices
  • Sales ledger allocations
  • Assist with the monthly stock take
  • Reviewing and analysing employee expense forms
  • Posting credit card transactions to the finance system and reconciling credit card statements.
  • Assistance at month end, posting journals to the Sage Finance System.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by management.
