Permanent position working for a world-renowned provider of high integrity protection systems.

A project planner is required to use Primavera P6 to schedule defined scope across several projects in order to comply with contract requirements.

Due to business requirements the facility in Bolton is looking for a Project Planner to update Primavera P6 schedules in accordance with developments and contractual requirements.

As a Planner, you will be required to:

Update schedules according to contract changes at agreed-upon intervals during the project's lifespan.
Help to create an efficient work breakdown structure.
Coordinate with internal resources to identify significant schedulerelated concerns and ensure that the project timeline is realistic and attainable.
Add early warning and compensation event notices to the schedule's content.
Look for ways to prevent extending the timetable in the event of change, delayed activity, completions and shorten the critical path.
Maintain accurate and uptodate data for different stages in multiple projects by working closely with the project team, subcontractors, and financial team.
Review reports and plans with clients and others who need data for continuous reporting and planning cycles.
Manage production of appropriate project documentation
Determine problems and if necessary escalate them to the project manager.

The project planner should have the following skills or experience:

Able to manage several projects at different stages.
Maintain schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
To facilitate the capacity to receive and extract information.
Have proven project planning experience within an engineering environment.
Knowledge of pipeline analysis and business strategy.
Possess an initiative, cando attitude, with the capacity to work quickly and under duress.
Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally
