Poolsbrook Primary Academy is on an exciting journey of school improvement, and we are looking for a talented and experienced Administration Assistant to join our team.

As an essential part of our school's daily operations, you will work closely with the headteacher and staff to provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the school office.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about administration
  • Is interested in education and its impact on the lives of children
  • Has efficient organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Is a problem solver and can think creatively to find solutions to challenges that may arise
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally previous experience using school systems
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Can work effectively with and without direction
  • Enthusiasm, energy, integrity, and professionalism
  • Is a team player
  • Has an eye for detail
  • Is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in

Your core duties will be to:

  • Greet and assist visitors, answering inquiries and providing necessary information.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate information systems to ensure complete school records are available.
  • Support financial operations by managing petty cash, processing invoices and receipts, and assisting with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Assist with HR operations by helping with onboarding, maintaining employee records, and administering payroll.
