This apprenticeship would be great for someone who would like to achieve an L3 Business Admin qualification and gain a category D driving licence at the same time.
As a Business Admin Apprentice with driving responsibilities, you will be responsible for all administrative aspects of the Serco transport department at RAF Brize Norton to achieve a Level 3 in Business Administration.
Day to day you'll be involved in:
Build and maintain positive relationships with the customer within the Serco Transport Licencing area using the MyDrive and Campbell Systems.
Ensure effective communication with both vocational drivers and customers alikeManage priorities by working alongside the fleet controller, allocating vehicles and drivers to tasks within the correct priority scales, making effective decisions and problem solving to ensure that all requests are satisfied
Prompt reporting of any vehicle damage, including accidents and incidents in accordance with company policies and understand, and demonstrate understanding, of the accidents/incidents process.
This includes the processing of all documentation, co-ordination of vehicle repairs and collation of monthly statisticsAssist with pre-use and after-use inspections, paperwork and associated tasks on vehicles coming on/going off Brize Norton Fleet, ensuring records and documents are produced in accordance with current policy.
Including the, inside & outside, cleaning of vehiclesNotify Line Management on issues that require their attention in respect of safety, risk, compliance, or standards
Assist in attending the unit vehicle, and visiting vehicle breakdowns on base, and within the local area
Carrying out vehicle weekly pre-use inspections, as required, reporting all defects to Transport Control
Driving within speed limits and in accordance with traffic regulations
Driving defensively and courteously
Prompt reporting of any vehicle damage, including accidents and incidents in accordance with company policies.
What you'll need to do the role:
Driving Licence Cat B (able to drive a car)
Must be able to achieve Cat D (PSV) licence pass within 12 months
GCSE in Maths and English grade C
